Pocket HDRI runs on your device. Your captures stay on your device — we have no server that receives your photos or HDRIs, and we don't track you. The only personal data we handle is your email address, and only if you choose to join our launch list.
The app
Camera & captures. Pocket HDRI uses your camera to take exposure-bracketed photos, which are merged into HDRI panoramas entirely on your device. These images and the resulting files are stored locally in the app and are never uploaded to us. You decide when to export or share them (for example, via the iOS share sheet or Files).
No account, no tracking. The app has no sign-in, no analytics, and no advertising SDKs. We do not collect usage data, device identifiers, or location.
Sensors. The app reads motion sensors (gyroscope) to guide you through a capture. This data is used only on your device, in the moment, and is not stored or transmitted.
The website & newsletter
Email sign-up. If you enter your email to join the launch list, your address is stored and processed by our email provider, Kit (kit.com), so we can send you launch news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. We do not sell or rent your email.
No ad tracking. The site does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Beta testing (TestFlight)
If you try the beta through Apple's TestFlight, Apple collects certain information — such as crash logs and basic usage and feedback — under Apple's own privacy policy. Any feedback you send us is used only to improve the app.
Your choices & retention
Captures live on your device under your control; deleting them in the app, or deleting the app, removes them. For the newsletter, you can unsubscribe at any time, or email us to have your address removed.
Children
Pocket HDRI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Changes
We may update this policy as the app evolves; the "last updated" date above always reflects the current version.
